To the Editor: Spring has sprung, the grass has riss, I wonder where the little birdies is? Well folks, a lot of people are getting tired of all of this weather monotony. Well, let's just stick around and appreciate it, as someday it's going to go away. Then it will turn out to be dry and dusty, don't ya think? Oh well, such is life in the northwest. Let's be thankful that it's no worse than it is. We all know there are folks who have had their houses moved because of the ground around their location being so saturated that it is not stable enough to support the weight of a house, and the earth in that area is caving in, making it dangerous as a place to build. And we all know from watching the news on T.V., there are forest fires in other areas of our good old "USA", where thousands of acres are being consumed by fire at this time. There are a lot of folks who have to leave their homes for safety only to return later to a pile of ashes, which must be a bit of a heartbreak. After all, most folks have worked a good many years to be able to build or have a home of their own. Let's be thankful for what we have. by Linc France
